"... the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to the protection by man from the cruelty of man." (Ghandi)
A friend of ours, Kate, gave a home to this rescue cat found tied up in a plastic bag in waste ground in Bracknell. Kate called her "Webster". When Kate had to leave the country, she arranged for Webster to move in with us. Kate was being civilised even though Webster was not exactly helpless.
There are many ways to help cats from just taking in a rescue cat to supporting more organised charities and projects.
- Twinkle Trust still helping cats in Fuerteventura in 2010
- Fuertecats our diary from 2002 and a few updates. A tale of people (especially Jenny) who won't take "no" for an answer when it comes to helping cats who need help and mad vets (especially Luke - Chris has been doing this for years but Luke is definitely the most mad.).
- Maidenhead Cats Protection
- And if you are looking for someone to look after your cat in your own home while you're away, Pets First UK covers the Maidenhead to Colnbrook area of Berkshire.
